Zhang Ziyi made over 65 million Yuen (Chinese Currency) last year according to The Star. That is equivalent to over $9 million US Dollars. She is one of the highest grossing women actress in China last year. But besides living a lavish life, she has also done a number of charity work. She was just in Chengdu. China this December assisting orphaned and distressed kids as a member of the Care for Children program.

This American premiere preview of Memoirs of a Geisha was held before premieres in either Los Angeles or New York. And following the special screening, a party was held in celebration at the Montecito Country Club, also in Santa Barbara.
